BRADFORD OHIO Railroad Museum
Press Release
October 10, 2007 The Bradford Ohio Railroad Museum continues to grow and develop its museum complex to preserve the Railroad heritage of Bradford, Ohio. The Museum was awarded a $30,000 capital appropriation from the state of Ohio in its 2006 budget. The appropriation will be used for the exterior restoration of the 1919 bank, which serves as the Museum headquarters. The bank is a 6400 ft.² masonry structure located at the corner of Main and Miami Avenues. The bank has been a landmark of Bradford, surviving the devastating fire of 1920. The project will include exterior restoration and maintenance of the masonry, replacement of the window where the former ATM was located repair of the roof signage on the building. The Museum has been awarded this capital appropriation from the state of Ohio through the efforts of our representative Diana Fessler. The Museum was originally selected for this appropriation as it would help revitalize the Bradford downtown and serve as a source of heritage tourism. The Museum is again inviting individuals, corporations, foundations and interested organizations to participate in this preservation effort. The capital campaign committee, will assist and recognize anyone wishing to donate to this capital project. Donors of $100 or more are recognized on our donor recognition Board that will be displayed at the Museum headquarters. The Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation of the state of Ohio.
